Netchex HCM Software Receives Tammany Business of the Year

The year 2012 is shaping up to be a great one for Netchex, which was recently honored with the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce “Tammany Award for Large Business.”

Chamber President and CEO Lacey Toledano said her organization has presented the “very prestigious award” for 14 years. The Tammany Award is presented to a business that has demonstrated leadership and drive, has experienced growth in employment and an increase in sales or volume, Toledano said. Additionally, the winner must have responded to adversity in a positive manner and contributed toward the welfare of the community, she said.

“(Netchex has) certainly worked hard to earn their success,” Toldedano said. “They have contributed to our economy, our quality of life and have been inspirations for aspiring entrepreneurs.”

Founded by two executives who previously worked in the payroll industry for a publicly traded firm, Will Boudreaux and Stuart Ethridge decided to take on the giants and change the experience of payroll outsourcing. Embracing three tenets – web integration for technology, accountability for service, and value for price delivery – Netchex set out to tell its story and execute one relationship at a time. Seven years later, Netchex is the fastest growing payroll, human resource, time and attendance, and benefit services companies in America.

The award solidifies Netchex’s reputation as a community-oriented company. Contributing to Netchex’s selection for the honor is the company’s sincere philosophy of giving back to its neighbors.

“Going to restaurants, health clubs, the local bank, and knowing that they’re all supporting our business and we’re supporting them, it really fosters a sense of business climate that we can grow and build on,” Boudreaux said.

Netchex has seen steady growth in each year that its doors have been open, Boudreaux said. While other companies are being forced into layoffs, Netchex continues to hire talented associates – the majority of whom are St. Tammany Parish residents.

“Our ability to hire good people here locally has been key for us,” Ethridge said. “It’s on their backs that we’ve been able to grow to this point. Over the last nine years, we’ve watched these employees grow, and their families grow, so it’s been really great for us.”

Even with all of the evidence that shows Netchex surpasses the qualifications for the honor, Boudreaux said the award came as a surprise.

“We were floored,” Boudreaux said. “Looking at past recipients, these companies are seen as leaders in the community, so to be seen at that level is humbling. We really appreciate it.”
